Islamist Party In Tunisia To Step Down

Ennahda - Tunisia's islamist party, thrown  into power by the Arab Spring, has agreed to step down after months of political struggle with opposition. In three weeks the Ennahda government is to give over power to an independent government that will lead the country through elections in the spring. The deal comes as part of negotiations to restart Tunisia’s democratic transition after opposition groups, protesting the assassinations of two of their politicians, stalled work on a new constitution and an election law this summer. The move comes less than three months after the Islamist government of President Mohamed Morsi of Egypt, also elected during the Arab Spring uprisings, was ousted by the military.

Summary:
Since the death of Qaddafi, the people of Fezzan have been divided into three main ethnic groups: Arabs, Tebus, Tuaregs. Without state authority, each group is trying to make their own rules. Each one lives in a specific location. For example, in the Qaheera area, the Arabs, Tebus, and Tuaregs each have their own block. Last year, a neighboring tribe got in a fight with the Tuaregs, but the situation got under control. Everyone is staying on their own block, but now their is a security problem because the police don't want to go in that area. Criminals have better weapons than them, so they are afraid.

Why gunmen have turned off Libya's oil taps

Armed groups in Libya are currently blocking key oilfields and ports - hijacking the government of its main source of revenue and leading to some fuel shortages and blackouts.
Deputy Oil Minister Omar al-Shakmak admitted the situation was a worry for foreign oil companies which operate the oilfields. However, as Libya has always imported most of its fuel, the frenzied buying is often sparked by rumours of shortages.
But there have also been more electricity cuts in recent weeks.
In the early months of summer, officials blamed the blackouts on fuel-powered generators being stolen and electricity stations being attacked by gunmen.

The Raspberry Pi computer is really just a monitoring camera that was placed around different parts of the National Park in Kenya. They are there to help the park rangers keep an eye on parts of the park that they normally don't check. This project was created with a collaboration between Kenya Wildlife Service, and the Zoological Society of London.
"We manage around 8% of the total land mass of Kenya, these cameras will be critical in helping us monitor the well-being of rare animals and ensure their habitats remain protected from poachers," Said Patrick Omondi, deputy directer of wildlife conservation. Since the project has been going it has earned £500,000 from google earlier this year to help fund this project and get it off the ground. With this boost other cameras have been placed around the park to try and locate other places that aren't searched.

KSA promises to be Egypt's savior.

The Cairo government is a funder of Egypt's finances, but the Cairo government may experience difficulties because donors threaten to suspend their donations. This is because the other unions don't support their support of Saudi Arabia. As a result foreign affairs leader Prince Saud reassures Egypt they will not lose funding because of this because they are too important in the region. The Suez Canal is an important means of transportation which runs through Egypt, therefore interference with their economy would result in repercussions involving trade. Minister Al-Faisal believes everyone wants to have good relations with Egypt because of their importance to trade, therefore he says Arab contact is a positive thing. Regardless if they interact if sources are cut off to Egypt, "Arab and Muslim nations are wealthy in population and resources and will not shy away from offering a helping hand to Egypt.”KSA-Egypt-flags

Democratic Republic of Congo: M23 rebel forces 'withdraw'

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-23894783

In the article the Congolese and the M23 rebels have a dispute that needs to be settled between each other but are split Rwandan territory. But as the M23 rebels and the Congolese have things that need to be settled the Rwandans are getting fired at. Since the Rwanda territory is in the middle of the two unfriendly countries they aren't allowed to fire into the Rwandan territory but unfortunatly one of the two countries fired 23 bombs and rockets into the territory that held civilians which neither country is supposed to do. Both sides are pointing fingers at each other saying that they saw the other side do it so no one really knows what really happened or where the bombs and rockets really came from, But the Rwandan territory stated that they could not take the abuse any more whether its from one country or the other. So in result the M23 rebels chose to be the bigger country and remove their troops 3 miles off the frontline.

Title- Cheers, jeers over teenager who flew in tyre hole
Source- The Punch

On August 26, 2013, Nigeria’s most widely read newspaper, The Punch, featured a story about a teenage male who stowed away in the tyre hole of a plane.  People of Nigeria are responding to this situation in different ways over social media.

Daniel Ikehina sneaked into the tyre compartment of a Lagos-bound Arik plane in Benin in hopes to fly to Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.  Many Nigerians feel he should be punished for his actions, while others are amazed at his bravery.  Most Nigerians feel it is a mere example of how unsafe the airports are.  The Nigerians that feel this way are saying things like, “If that boy was carrying bomb, it means he would have succeeded in blowing up the plane. How can somebody be in an aircraft without being detected? We are in trouble in this country.”  Others feel that he should be commended and he should be accepted into the CIA or become a federal spy.

This act was not safe at all, Ikehina could have died while aboard the tyre compartment.  Security needs to come up with a different approach of keeping passengers safe.  This could be an idea given to a terrorist and before we know it, planes are being blown up left and right.
