Nephew of President Mohamed Mursi Gets Life in Prison

The nephew of Mohamed Mursi, Islamist President, along with three other university students were sentenced to life in prison this past Saturday. Mohamed Saeed is a law student at the University of Zagazig in Sharqiya and was accused of attacking a colleague during a pro-Mursi student protest in the University of Zagazig last December. The protest turned into violence and he was part of that chaos.
He was suspended from the University in May because he was wanted to five different court cases. One of the many thing that he was charged with was the attempted murder of the dean of students. He got five years for leading the on campus riots.
Violence on campus has become more common as of late. At least 16 students were killed during the protests.
