Summary:

The computer programmer, Anas al-Liby is on the FBI's "most wanted terrorists" list. He was captured yesterday as an operational combat officer for al-Qaeda. He is accused of being one of the mastermind behind the embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998, that killed 224 people. In 2000, he was indicted by a New York grand jury, but after that he was on the run until yesterday. A Human Rights Watch might document suggests that he was detained by the CIA in 2002. He was an activist against Muammar Gaddafi's rule and was given asylum in the UK for unclear reasons in the past.

Fezzan: No state, Three peoples.

Summary:

Since the death of Qaddafi, the people of Fezzan have been divided into three main ethnic groups: Arabs, Tebus, Tuaregs. Without state authority, each group is trying to make their own rules. Each one lives in a specific location. For example, in the Qaheera area, the Arabs, Tebus, and Tuaregs each have their own block. Last year, a neighboring tribe got in a fight with the Tuaregs, but the situation got under control. Everyone is staying on their own block, but now their is a security problem because the police don't want to go in that area. Criminals have better weapons than them, so they are afraid.

Guns Seized In Cameroon

Recently in Cameroon they have seized some 5400 fire arms of Kalashnikov-mark. These guns were pick-up on a vehicle on its way to Borno State in Nigeria. The owners of the guns are unknown but they think there where a terrorist group. Results in this gun usage there was a recent killing of almost 50 militants around Maiduguri,killing the leader of the sect, Abubakar Shekau. Investigation is still in progress and they say their close.
