Egypt massacre was premeditated, says Human Rights Watch
Reporter's say that "Egyptian security forces intentionally shot 817 protesters during last August's Rabaa massacre, in a premeditated attack equal to or perhaps worse than China's Tiananmen Square killings in 1989" Human Rights Watch, have argued in a report.
Based on the 122 survivors and witnesses, a 195 page report was released that found Egypt's police and army "systematically and intentionally killed a large amount of unarmed, innocent protestors on political grounds" in actions that went against most likely amounted to crimes against humanity.
It was recommended in reports that several senior individuals within Egypt's security apparatus to be investigated and, where appropriate, held account for their role in this massive massacre of the planning of both the Rabaa massacre and others that occurred last summer. One being, Adbel Fatah al-Sisi Egypt's previous defense minister and new president. Being head of the army at the time, Sisi had the responsibility for the army's role at Rabaa, and has since publicly acknowledged the many long hours spent discussing all of the details.
